Task no. ONE

PART A
MY 5 smart goals! from any categories of
academic, personal, sporting or co-curricular

1.Getting a academic award at the end of Smester 2 of year 10 at Walford, by imrpoving my Physics, English, Geography and Chemistry mark from 6 to 7 which can be prooved that I had put more efforts in. I am going to work hard in every possible asignments and tests.

  2. Getting into the university and degree  which is[Hong-ik university, industrial design degree. I desperated to get in the uni in 2 and half years. My interests in designing led me to have interest and aim of going into such university. The uni is situated in Seoul, Korea.  I think in the future I am going to go back to Korea for uni.

3. Learning how to play soccer well throughout trainging. I am going to train myself at least 3 times per week with some basic fitnesses like speed, ongoing strength and ball skills from my brother who is a very good soccer player as he started soccer since his early age of 6.

4. Getting up early and sleeping early. As year level moves on, the amounts of time I sleep got shortened due to the increased amoutns of homeworks. Thus, I am going to reschedule myself the homework time table and not waste my time to finish the homeworks just in time. Also, by waking up early I could do some activities like excercise or reading book or even watching news in the morning. Also, sleeping early makes my body more relaxed.

5. Having a fun times at both year 10 camp and China trip which will be held during wk9 of term3 to the first week of the holiday. It is because, these are life long experiences and memories we'll get. I would like to take loads of photos and talk, laugh and enjoy every moments during these seasons.

I am now good at areas of designing in art by generating new and fresh ideas. Also, I am confident with my English speaking skills I nourished over 5 years and also the fact that I can now speak Chinese as well which is my thrid language. I still want to improve these valuable skills by endless practices of speaking, generating ideas and practicing with the experiments. The new areas I want to achieve are, cooking and having a leadership. I would like to invent my own recipes for cooking. I like to make all the differnet cultural dishes like Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Australian and some deserts as well. AIso, I want to take a leadership position sometimes during my school life because, I want to gain my confident infront of many people.
PART B
My strengths and improvements on particular areas

My strengths
  • Good listener of others and understand them well
  • Trying to change poor situations positively by being active
  • Good at generating new and fresh ideas
  • Able to speak three different languages, Korean, Chinese and English
  • able to play with kids well
  • Good at skipping rope (I can do double skip)
  • Good at playing guitar
Improvements
  • Confidence- more presentations infront of classmates, speaking up my own opinions
  • Ability to calm my emotions down when I had a argues with others- find a way to sort out my own stress (eg. excercising alone, listening to music or screaming)
  • Reading more speedly- Read enormously alot
  • Waking up or sleeping early- Set a timetable and also the alram which can make me wake up independently without having mum's helps
PART C
My ICT skills

ICT skills I had developed in recent 2 years are enormous. Since I came to Walford, I got to use the latest model of Apple computers/ laptops which I had never seen before in my 16 years of life.(I was only been using windows) I learned on the Apple computers, there are many different software programmes such as Photoshop, Photobooth, Ai, iweb, garageband, sebellius and more. There are amazing programmes which enable me to compose, arrange a piece of songs and also, photoshop allows me to improve the quality of the photos.

Some more ICT skills I need to develop for my future career as industrial designer. The industrial designers are people who are improving designs of the products like computer, chair or anything...ext. After the sketches, by using computer skills, showing the design in a neat 3D model is important as it is more eyecatching and easier to view. I need to learn how to manipulating 3D models and photoshopping imageries.

PART D
Self assessing the plan to meet my future goal by progressing the present goals

I believe that harder efforts and works a person puts in to meet their futuer goal will allways be worthwhile for anyone. So, I am going to deathly try my best to achieve all my 5 smart goals set in part A. My dream of getting an acdemic will be achieve by studying over and over, proof reading the tasks or asignments repeatedly.

Also, kind of getting into the university I desperately want to go led from the previous studies I undertake since my high school lives.

PART E
Analysis of Naplan results

My Naplan results from 2010 when I was in year 9 shows that, I have below the average skils of reading and writting. The language conventions such as spelling and grammar punctuations are near the average levels. The numeracy level is over the band 10 which is the top of the scale. I believe my strength is numeracy however my literacy skills are mostly below the national average of poor reading and writting. I wish I could improve and develop my literacy skills.

Certificates

These are the certificates which show various activities I do and what I am confident of doing.
Naplan test 2008, when I was in year7.
(this was my first Naplan as i came to Aust. in year6)
My numeracy rate was above the average
however, the literacy was below the national average.

Naplan test 2010, when I was in year9.
My numeracy rate was above the average
however, the literacy was below the national average
except for the language conventions.
I think I should improve more on writting and reading.
I did not expect to get the academic award
as I never believe I was suitable.
In 2010, when I was in year9,
I finally was eligible to get one.
I was so happy beacause, this was my first award at walford and
I was always keen to get one to make my parents proud of my results.
